WHAT WE ARE DOING TODAY:
Today we are going to reach out to Panera Bread and Cha for Tea in order to reach a sponsorship deal similar to the one we have set up with CDM Yogurt. CDM Yogurt has agreed to cover the entrance fee of 2 runners for the Mud Run as long as our team wears CDM Yogurt Shirts.
PANERA FUNDRAISING OPTIONS:
-TALK TO PANERA MANAGER IN PERSON, MUST MAKE FLYERS(OVER 50).
EXISTING SPONSORSHIPS:
CDM YOGURT- we are currently in negotiations with CDM Yogurt, with the idea that CDM Yogurt will cover the entrance fees of 2 members of SCARS (Sage Campaign for Active and Retired Servicemen) and in return SCARS will wear CDM Yogurt T-Shirts to promote CDM Yogurt at the Mud Run Event. This partnership will help us send more participants to the Mud Run while raising awareness.
Mud Runner Event

HOW MANY PEOPLE?:
TIME: Saturday, March 28th 2015
LOCATION: Glen Helen Raceway 18585 Verdemont Ranch Road, 92407 San Bernardino, CA United States
TRAINING: Usual fitness level should be enough, individual preparation is optional:
Go to the link below to go over the recommended training regimen for the Mudder Run. Identify what your fitness level is, follow the recommended boot camp structures from the options, and repeat them 3-5 times per week:
MEETING PLACE: At Sage 2 hours prior to start time to carpool
WHAT TO WEAR:
- Shoes - Normal Running shoes. Cleats won’t help--in fact, they’ll be worse on your feet and are dangerous for the other participants.
- Clothes - Lightweight stuff that dries quickly. Even if it’s a cold day, heavy or thick clothing will just retain water and make you colder. You should also bring a change of clothes for after the event so you can enjoy the post party.
- Gloves - this one is more debatable. Some people swear by them, others prefer to go glove-less (faster drying). If you go with gloves, be sure to grab tough, thick ones to prevent burns from the ropes and splinters from the walls.
- Bag - Tough Mudder offers bag services you can purchase to leave all your valuable items at while you run your course. Bag drop generally is $10 and can be purchased onsite at the event. We recommend sharing a bag between teammates to save money and space.
OTHER IMPORTANT ITEMS:
- Photo ID - You MUST bring a photo ID. We cannot stress this enough. You won’t be able to run the event without it. This photo ID should contain a picture and your name on it to be a valid identification at Tough Mudder.
- Your EventBrite ticket - Digital copy on your phone or a printed-out ticket. Click here to follow the instructions to print off your ticket
- A Watch - If you care about knowing your time. It’s on you to time yourself.
TOUGH MUDDER RECOMMENDED CLOTHES:
Shoes - Under Armour Tough Mudder FTHR Shield Trail Running Shoes - Designed specifically with Tough Mudders in mind.
Clothes - Under Armour clothes. Under Armour specializes in breathable, sweat-and-moisture-wicking clothes
Gloves - Gloves are optional, however some Mudders swear by them. Gloves with strong gripping surfaces are recommended. The choice in the end is yours whether you wish to wear them or not.
More information can be found here as to what Tough Mudder recommends for you to wear to the event:
